Bukit Kelam which is commonly called Mount Kelam is a mountain located in West Kalimantan. Mount Kelam stretches from west to east with an altitude of 1,002 masl is a giant rock (monolith). This mountain is located 20 km from the city of Sintang and about 395 km from Pontianak, the capital city of West Kalimantan. This mountain has a pitcher plant endemic to the species Nepenthes Clipeata. The Bukit Kelam area is located between two major rivers, namely the Melawi River and the Kapuas River.

Mount Kelam is one of the world’s most important known habitats for pitcher plants, apparently being home to 14 different species, one of which is endemic (Nepenthes clipeata) which until recently was considered the most endangered of all pitcher plants. The pitcher plant grows on the side of a vertical granite cliff at an altitude of between 500 and 800 meters. Not only that, but there are also Black Orchid plants. As for the fauna in Bukit Kelam, there are sun bears, pangolins, and swallows that live in caves.

Bukit Kelam has the potential to be developed into a natural tourist attraction and also as a location for gliding and rock climbing because it is located at an altitude of 50 – 900 meters above sea level. Currently the Bukit Kelam area has been renovated and this area has been used as a Scout Camp Center. To reach the top of Bukit Kelam, you can use a ladder with a height of ± 90 meters which is located in the west.
